The Salón Prado project aims to revitalize the historic neighborhood by transforming it into a gastronomic market, enhancing its heritage value and promoting complementary residential uses. With a 6.5 billion peso investment from the APP Agency and Armada Inmobiliaria, the project will rehabilitate the property over a minimum of 13 years, beginning in December. This initiative is part of the Comprehensive Management Plan for Prado, which seeks to promote a cultural ecosystem and boost the area’s economic potential.
Expected to create 70 direct jobs and 150 indirect jobs, the project will also attract approximately 30,000 visitors monthly. Jorge García of Armada Gastro Proyectos highlighted the community-driven nature of the project, emphasizing its potential to revitalize the neighborhood through commercial, gastronomic, and tourist activities. As Prado, known for its rich architectural heritage and culturally significant properties, reaches a pivotal point in its history, this project aims to preserve its cultural legacy while fostering economic growth.
