The city has successfully navigated what could have been a dire water rationing crisis, thanks to significant improvements in reservoir levels, announced by Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM).
The situation had been tense, with below-average rainfall affecting reservoir levels and sparking concerns over potential water rationing. However, recent climatic conditions have favored the region, leading to a replenishment of water sources and ensuring a stable supply for the foreseeable future.
